Without the Ancestors, we would not exist. They gifted us life, and we carry their legacy within us. In all indigenous societies, the Ancestors are revered, recognised as powerful guides who shape not only our individual lives but the collective wisdom of humanity. To work with our Ancestors is to honour the bloodline from which we come and to open ourselves to the spiritual guidance of those who have walked this earth before us.
The connection with our Ancestors goes far beyond mere remembrance. It’s an active relationship, one where we can seek wisdom, healing, and insight from those who have already navigated the challenges of life. In our shamanic work, we commune not only with our blood ancestors but also with ancestral spirit teachers and shamans who can guide us on our path.
Whether through ritual, meditation, or sacred ceremonies, these connections with the ancestral realms allow us to access a deeper understanding of who we are and where we come from. Our Ancestors hold the key to ancient knowledge, and by working with them, we can heal generational wounds, uncover hidden strengths, and align ourselves with the larger story of our lineage.
In honouring the Ancestors, we honour ourselves. They continue to live through us, and by inviting their presence into our lives, we can walk in harmony with both the past and the future. We go further into Ancestral work in our Shamanic Practitioner training which you can learn more about here.
